Secretary

Sarin Paluri
Email Sarin

OMS-III at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine
Surgical Interest: HPB and CT surgery
I am passionate about surgical education. For me, this takes shape as leadership in helping organize skills workshops, pioneering a resource database for our students nationwide, or simply furthering students’ access to quality opportunities that get them to their academic and personal goals. However, the most impactful reason I am here today is because of the mentorship I received from fellow ACOS-MSS members. These individuals took notice of ambition, dedication, and a willingness to persevere and moved mountains for me.

My experiences at the ACOS and ACOS-MSS conferences provided me with skills and confidence that I will forever utilize in my pursuit of becoming an osteopathic surgeon. I sought out the Conventions Coordinator position not only because I am passionate about the power conventions hold, but because I aspire to play a bigger role in advancing the success of osteopathic medical students in the field of surgery. This mission is one I feel strongly about, as it has made a difference in my medical school career and serving in this role will provide me the platform to pass it forward to the next generation of medical students.

ACOS-MSS not only prepared me for the general surgery match but inspired me and gave me confidence. This organization has given so much to me, so I wanted to get involved to help those students that will come after me. I want to ensure DO students feel confident and prepared pursuing surgical specialties. I want to keep advancing the profession and this organization forward.
