Anthony G. Blando, D.O.
A long-time ACOS member, Dr. Anthony George Blando, 81, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away on November 11, 2017.
Dr. Blando obtained his medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, completed an internship and residency in General Surgery, and served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at his alma mater. He practiced at Lakeside Hospital for many years and served as Chairman of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Blando joined the staff of Overland Park Regional Medical Center when it opened in 1978 and remained on the staff until his retirement, during his tenure serving as Chief of Surgery, President of the medical staff, and as a member of the Board of Trustees.
