2023 ACOS General Surgery In-Depth Review Seminar

ACOS will host the 2023 General Surgery In-Depth Review Seminar (IDR), May 4 – 7, 2023 in Kansas City, MO.
2023 IDR Program Chairs, Victoria Schlanser, D.O., FACOS, and Jennifer Susoreny-Velgos D.O., FACOS, with the support of the In-Depth Review Committee, are diligently working on this year's content to once again, deliver a top-notch, comprehensive educational program.
The IDR is our annual board review course. In addition to earning valuable CME credit, the Seminar is designed to provide the general surgeon with an in-depth review on topics found on certifications exams. Past participants have found it to be a helpful experience in preparing for certification or re-certification examinations**.

Educational Program & CME
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credits and Requirements: The 2023 IDR will be accredited for both American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Category 1A continuing medical education (CME) credits as well as AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
AOA CME Requirements
The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. Eligible attending physicians can earn American Osteopathic Association continuing medical education (CME) credit by participating in the educational programs and activities at the 2023 General Surgery In-depth Review Seminar
In accordance with the AOA CME accreditation requirements, the attendee must complete an evaluation of each session attended as well as an overall event evaluation in order to receive AOA CME credit. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the educational activity. Information on how participants can claim their CME hours will be provided to eligible attendees. After the program evaluation has been completed, a CME certificate can be printed by the registrant. ACOS will report CME credits equal to the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity to the AOA.
ACCME Accreditation and Designation Statement
The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The ACOS designates this other [live, enduring] activity for a maximum of 29 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Mock Oral Boards Workshop: If you are preparing to take your Oral Board Examination, plan to arrive in Kansas City early. On May 3 at the Marriott Kansas City Downtown, ACOS will again be offering our increasingly popular Mock Oral Board Exam Workshop. During this valuable optional workshop, physicians preparing to take their oral board exams will have the unique opportunity to participate in a simulation of taking their oral board exam. PLEASE NOTE: due to the popularity of this activity, participants must preregister to guarantee a spot in this session.
