Each year Osteopathic Surgeons from across the nation gather, to learn together, share ideas and build new connections at the Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACA). The American College of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACOS) and the American Osteopathic College of Proctology (AOCPr) are pleased to host the 2018 ACA, October 17 - 21, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, Georgia.

The conference will kick off with an opportunity to mix and mingle with old friends and make new ones at the opening evening reception with attendees of the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics on Wednesday, October 17. Educational Programming

ACA is a multi-disciplinary conference:

The 2018 Annual Clinical Assembly will offer a highly-diversified program in multiple osteopathic surgical disciplines to include – Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, General Surgery, Neurological Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Proctological Surgery, and Urological Surgery. Attendees of the 2018 ACA are eligible to earn American Osteopathic Association continuing medical education (AOA CME) credits by participating in the educational programs and activities. Keynote Speakers

This year's keynote speakers include Michael Daniel, Cybersecurity Advisor to President Barack Obama (2012 - 2016) and President, Cyber Threat Alliance and Zachary W. Brown, D.O. Michael Daniel draws from his post at the highest echelon of government to sound the alarm on the global security threats of the 21st century, revealing the necessary steps for managing your organization’s cyber risk. From the attack on Sony Pictures Entertainment to the intrusion into the Office of Personnel Management and the Russian efforts to meddle in the U.S. electoral process, Michael Daniel has maintained a pivotal role leading the government’s response to the most prominent cyber incidents of our time. Dr. Brown will share his experiences as a deployed surgeon and the associated challenges of working in an austere environment. He will discuss the challenges of working in different environments where he has been deployed, from a humanitarian mission in Bangladesh to his work as a trauma surgeon last year in an area just south of Mosul.
