SOSA Fall Conference Held in Conjunction with the 2016 ACA

The Student Osteopathic Surgery Association (SOSA) Fall Meeting held in conjunction with the 2016 Annual Clinical Assembly of Osteopathic Surgeons (ACA) meeting in Pheonix was another successful event for SOSA with close to one hundred students in attendance. This year’s conference focused on navigating the new graduate medical education pathway, developing local leadership, and developing skills for surgery rotations.

The speed mentoring event brought together students and surgeons for a lively, informative and fun Q & A session. Students had the opportunity to meet one-on-one with surgeons who practice in various specialties and ask specific questions about what it is like to be a surgeon in general, and a surgeon of a particular specialty.

SOSA will meet again in conjunction with the 2017 ACA, in Washington, D.C. Members interested in connecting with the students either through lectures or mentoring opportunities, please contact the ACOS at [email protected].
