Reducing Opioid Consumption in Post-Operative Patients

Reducing Opioid Consumption in Post-Operative Patients presented by Joel A. Strehl, D.O., FACOS
Webinar Description

Opioids are overprescribed after surgery. Overprescribing can lead to new chronic opioid use in our patients. Left-over opioid medications have devastated our communities. Implementation of a pain control optimization pathway that leverages multi-modal analgesic management and patient engagement has the potential to transform surgical care. The goal: Establish a care pathway in which patients take no opioids following the day of surgery or day of discharge from the hospital.
